Local Elections

LOVE YOUR PARISH and want to MAKE A DIFFERENCE then please become a PARISH COUNCILLOR.

A Parish Council is a local authority that makes decisions on behalf of the people in the parish. It is the level of local government closest to the community, with the district authority (Horsham District Council) and the county authority (West Sussex County Council) above it in the hierarchy. Elections are held every 4 years,  the next elections will be in May 2023

A councillor may stand down during their 4 year term creating a casual vacancy.  If you would like to become a Parish Councillor please look out for details of Parish Councillor vacancies.

For lots more information please read on and click on the documentation in the 'Elections Material' and 'Why become a Councillor?' tables below. We look forward to welcoming you to your local council.
